Jiro Dreams of Sushi - Indie Game The Movie - First Position - Mastery - Doug Neill Sketchnote - The Graphic Recorder

A Night of Netflix and Sketchnotes

A few weeks back I went on a documentary-watching kick.  In two nights I watched three documentaries: Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Indie Game: The Movie, and First Position.  Ever-ready with my pen and sketchbook, I pulled some ideas out of those documentaries and put them to paper:

Jiro Dreams of Sushi - mastery - Doug Neill Sketchnote - The Graphic Recorder

Indie Game The Movie - super meat boy, digital distribution - Doug Neill Sketchnotes - The Graphic Recorder

Jiro Dreams of Sushi - Indie Game The Movie - First Position - Mastery - Doug Neill Sketchnote - The Graphic Recorder

As noted in the last sketch, all of these documentaries are really about mastery (and maybe a bit of obsession).  It shows that to get really good at something, you’ve got to work at it every day, for years.  These three documentaries gave me a push to keep developing my sketching and sketchnoting skills, little by little, day by day.
