This was shaping up to be the longest post to date on this blog. I was gonna tell the whole story of how a year of blogging led me on a wandering path to the non-final destination of opening my own art shop. But it felt forced. It’s a story that I want to tell in full at some point, but for now you get the short version:
It’s way more rewarding to turn a hobby into a business by actually creating something that might be of value to others rather than throwing up a bunch of “content” in hopes of making money off of ads or affiliate links. With that in mind, here’s what I’ve been creating. I hope some of you find value in it.
Good For Something
I like this quote from Thoreau it because it encourages you to find (or create) a niche that allows you to do something good for the world. Once you’ve decided what you want to be good for, you can go about putting in the work to share that goodness with others. Get the print here.
Listen To Your Thoughts
What effect do your thoughts have on your overall well-being? Start listening to find out, but be sure not to take your thoughts too seriously. Make sure to laugh at yourself often, and let go of the thoughts that you don’t want to hold onto. Get the print here.
Living In The Present
Don’t let your mind wander off too far into the past or the future. There is plenty to keep you entertained in the present. Get the print here.
An Ounce of Action
Do you have an idea that you are excited about but haven’t yet done anything with? If possible, put that idea into action and see what comes of it. You will certainly learn more from acting on your idea than simply thinking about it. Get the print here.
Keep an eye on my Illustrations page for future prints.
