Sketchnotes of Marie Forleo & Chase Jarvis Interview (30 Days of Genius)

Yesterday I live-streamed my sketchnotes of the 30 Days of Genius interview between Chase Jarvis and Marie Forleo:

So many interesting nuggets in this conversation. A few that resonated the most:

Create before you consume.

There is a huge difference in my entire day if I wake up and start creating right away compared to when I wake up and hop on YouTube to watch the latest Casey Neistat vlog (I try to hold off until lunch for that…sometimes it’s just too hard…).

One thing that has helped me get my day started right: a coffee pot with a timer that I can set the night before and set for 6:00am. I’ve found that waking up to the sound and smell of coffee being made is soooo much better than waking up to the sound of an alarm clock (which I also set – but for 6:02am – just in case).

To find your unique gift and have the courage to share it: play.

When I approach my work with a sense of playfulness, everything turns out better. That playfulness helps me to not take myself or my work too seriously. It gets me out of my head and into my body. And it makes work fun, rather than stressful.

More sketchnoting tonight. Keep an eye on my Facebook page to catch the next live-stream.
